On 27th September 2022, BJR GDC has observed the birthday of Sri. Konda Lakshman Bapuji, an Indian freedom fighter who participated in the Telangana Rebellion and Telangana activist. Dr. P. V. Geetha Lakshmi Patnaik, principal of the college supervised the event and Smt. H. Geeta, Associate Professor of History has coordinated the event. Teaching and non-teaching staff of the college with due respect participated in the event.
