About the Department
The Department of Hindi was established in the year 1974. The department actively participates in all the extension activities. The department strives to improve the inter personal skills by encouraging the students to take active part in the inter collegiate competitions ,seminars and workshops. The department of Hindi has been catering to the needs of the students for the past several decades by educating them on new trends in the contemporary world . The Department kindles interest in the Hindi Language & Literature by motivating the students to write poetry, stories and essay Writing.
Vision
The Vision of the Department of Hindi is to enhance the efficiency , proficiency in the Hindi-language and literature, promote patriotism, communal harmony and cultural integration.
Mission :
- The Mission of the Department of Hindi is to popularise Hindi language as well as Hindi literature.
- To promote academic excellence in Hindi.
- To develop good communication skills , LSRW skills in Hindi as Hindi is the National Language.
Objectives
- The main objective of the department is to make students understand the Hindi language and improve their speaking skill .
- The department strives to empower the students and prepare them to face the challenges of real life.
- The Department has been facilitating the students to build their career and develop their character through Hindi Language.
- To provide platform to the students to achieve their expected aspirations and thereby to establish themselves in the society.
- To create an interest among the students in the language and literature and also to master the art of communication in reading, speaking, writing and Listening.

Course Outcomes
After completion of the prescribed course students will be able to express themselves with proper knowledge of Hindi literary and linguistic aspects. They will also be able to get opportunities to pursue Higher education in Hindi like MA., M. Phil., Ph.D. Diploma in Functional Hindi and Translation. After successfully completion of post graduate courses, Students will also be able to get employment opportunities as Junior Lecturer. Degree College lecturer. University College lecturer. Hindi Assistants/ Associates, Translator in Government and Public Sector. In the context of course outcomes students with proper Communication skills of language having the sound literary approach. In addition to these advantages and opportunities students will be able to be associated with any media house, both print and electronic.

The main Library was established in 1918 along with the University. The Library was shifted to Present Building, which was Inaugurated by Dr.S.Radha- krishnan, Then President of India on 3rd August 1963.The University Library coordinates the Library system, which links the libraries in all 8 campus and 4 constituent college Libraries.

Honourable Principal highlighted the Importance of speaking Hindi. “ A Vital Role Hindi Language can play as an effective tool for National Integration and Unity of the Country”.
Chief Guest Dr. T. Mohan Singh In his message said “ Hindi speakers today view it as one of the most beautiful and emotionally expressive language. It ranks as one of the easiest and most logical language to read. Write and pronounce. Dr. Ghanshyam, HOD Department of Hindi, in his closing remark, highlighted the era of knowledge explosion and mobility, and the world is becoming a smaller place. A Common language (Hindi). This enables self sufficiency in understanding the different cultures, were work or pleasure may take us. Hindi is one of the language which have world wide Recognition. With words of Vote of thanks the program was successfully concluded Objective: The Main Objective of Organizing this Extension Lecture is to Educate student about the Importance of speaking Hindi and its Usage. Abstract | The Objective and outcome of this on-line extension lecture is to show how the global outbreak of Corona Virus disease 2019(Covid-19) is affecting every part of human lives. Intends to explore the positive and negative of Covid-19 related to environmental conditions. This lecture indicates that, the pandemic situation significantly improve air quality in different cities across the world, reduces GHGS emission, lesser water pollution and noise, and reduces the pressure on the tourist destinations, which may assist with the restoration of ecological system. In addition, there are also some negative consequences of covid-19, such as increase of medical waste, haphazard use and disposal of dis-infectants, masks and gloves and burden of untreated wastes continuously endangering the environment. |

It is expected that the proper implementation of the proposed strategies might be helpful for the global environmental sustainability. |

The outcomes from this extension lecture is that to Inculcate the habit of protecting ourselves from Covid-19 and how to follows the Safeguarding measures and guidelines of Covid-19. |
